i think some kind of self defence training is better than being big. my mate was a monster on the roids but with no formal self defence training so he just got lucky in a way (by not getting killed). if hed done TMA or MMA he might have been able to fight them off without getting stabbed.
Erm the fine has to be payed on the spot or organised on the spot to be payed in smaller sums, or they give you perhaps an hour or two to go try and get the money, if you don't return then it's an even worst crime, if you can't pay then you face further consequences. Basically if the fine doesn't get recieved you're breaking another law, an even more serious one, the police christmas bonus money.
The article doesn't say it was an on-the-spot fine, could have been court imposed. This is my entire point; you don't know any of the details of these cases, yet are still choosing to rant about it - in my book, that's idiotic.

I take it you haven't been charged in court then, plus on the spot fine just means you get given a fine on the spot and have to pay by a certain date.
But when you're fined in magistrates court you must literally pay on the spot as much as you possibly can, if it doesn't equal the total sum then you must work out a payment plan.
Plus I didn't rant at all, I just think it's ridiculous that there are such pathetic fine amounts for carrying deadly weapons, regardless to whether it is £1 or £150, carrying knives without a real proven reason should be punished far harsher, after all someones life cannot be valued in pound sterling.
Regardless of the 'cases' exact details, £150 or close being the majority amount fined to someone carrying a DEADLY weapon, obviously without good reason otherwise they wouldnt have been fined so much, is a pathetic punishment.
But I obviously seem to know more on the subject than you which makes my opinion on the subject more likely to be less idiotic than yours. Plus it's lucky that your book is just that, your book, your opinion, perhaps I should call you idiotic for expressing your opinion on a subject you know even less about.

Fucking disgrace, I'm sick of this country and the fucking public schoolboys running it they have no idea how to run a country, I say we just riot until some fucker grabs the wheel and steers us back on course, it's all fucked I tell thee.
waaaaaaa they must be targeting kids pocket money for carrying knives...
I reckon at least something like 20 hrs community service... at least.
mma is just a game based on a duel where we play with our arguments of physical expressions to the point where we stop when its time to..... We dont play for keeps. The moutain of a mole of it is purely for marketing purposes, lol

I almost always have a little clip knife (small blade wouldnt reach a vital organ if you tried stabbing someone) on me for cutting open boxes etc. as I keep it in my pocket its often on me if im wear the same jeans out of work. I do mean to leave it behind more often as I'm sure if cuaght with it the police would love the chance to rack up a conviction and collect a fine.
In one instance I still had it in my pocket when I went through a security checkpoint, I realised and pooped my pants a bit, then I put it in a clear plastic bag with my keys, phone, headphones etc and put that through the Xray machine then collected it on the other side without a batted eyelid.
And you know something, even though I had a knife beyond the checkpoint I didnt stab anyone, or even try to....
