I know it's a couple of years old, but I've recently watched it for the first time and I didn't think I'd enjoy it as much as I did.
I feel inspired to go and train now. Rocky movies always do this to me.

Rocky Balboa is a terrible film that pisses all over the legacy of the preceding films. I hate it.

I agree with Dave Hirst; Balboa was just horrible.
I'm one of the (seemingly) few that actually liked Rocky V and thought it a better end to the series than Balboa
It's not a classic by any means, but because I was expecting it to be unbearable to watch, I found myself being pleasantly surprised.
I'm not ashamed to say that I genuinely enjoyed it. I too thought Rocky V was dreadful.
I like all of them
To those who didn't like it, what was the problem?
Most people I know felt that it's premise was a little silly, but once they put that to the back of their minds they seemd to enjoy it, at least more than they thought they would.
I just found it a pretty boring film. It was trying to be sentimental but didn't get that feeling across at all, the film makers were just hoping to use the history of the films as an easy way to get it imo.
Edit: wasn't as bad as Underworld though.
