Agreed. I certainly don't see any need to live off salad and steamed chicken etc, fuck that.

    1) exercise has negligible effect. In fact, I gain weight when I work out a lot, cos I get hungrier. Cardio has fitness benefits and strength training builds a better muscle to fat ratio - not much point losing weight if you just end up skinny-fat

    2) Stop eating crap. You know what crap is - 2a) stop making excuses

    3) Get your carbs from fruit and veg, not bread and pasta
so would you say just doing weights, no cardio, would not lose weight, as your building muscle, but lose fat?
I'm a doctor in exercise the same way Dr Dre is in hip hop!

Last night I went through 3 copies of Men's Fitness.

There were loads of fat loss articles - that didn't talk about fat loss.

All they did was talk about weight loss, which is not the same thing.

There is only one way to train to effectively burn fat - low intensity aerobic exercise on an empty stomach.

Combine that with short and sharp high intensity work, to release the fat burning hormones.

Everything else is just about weight control (in this context), helping burn more calories than you take in.

    Discuss. Lol!

A jog before breakfast? What kind of distance would you recommend?

    1) Keep a food log
    2) Eat 1.5IB of lean protein per pound of body weight
    3) Drop processed carbs for veggies apart from pre and post work out
    4) Eat 5/6 times daily
    5) Do YOUR OWN research and be consistant.

So you eat more then your body weight in lean protein each day?

Sure you dont mean 1.5 grams of protein per pound of body weight?
