As a true connioseur of beards and general manliess, you must be well aware of the Sikh warriors... Anyone who knows their history will know that they were/are hard bastards who took sh*t from no-one... Also they had long, long, flowing masculine beards:-

Oddly enough, I am well aware of the manly beards promoted within Sikhism. I believe it is also law that they must carry a sword at all times. It doesn't get much more manly than that.

I believe it is written in the Guru Granth Sahib that they may not cut or colour their beards.

Much of what makes a beard manly depends on the face. Some men suit huge beards and smaller ones are not manly. However, some men, such as myself, are perfectly manly with a more trimmed and styled beard.

I would say that for men of a more toned frame, a short beard, such as mine, would be correct and appropriate. For the larger gent, the larger beard is the more manly.
