I think this has eclipsed stubbsy's "can't hear you mate" thread (even though a lot of his stuff was naff) and the photoshop threads as the best one on the forum.

I'd have to agree, it has been a loooong time since anything this fresh has been suggested. I'm excited.

RobT - Have you considered sloping the outside edge of the fighting area? I really thought YAMMA was onto something there.

Hmm, it's interesting but after settling on the 10' cage I think the fighters will be forced to engage enough as it is?

Also, the rules will force aggression.

Thank you for your support mate!

You sound like you would be just the sort of person we would want in the crowd. With Ricky MCing, I hope he will be up for being on the mic throughout the fights, encouraging the crowd to show vocal support.

I am hoping for a great atmosphere as the warriors "engage within the cage" (that's the show motto, I have trademarked it so no-one should think about stealing it!!) with louds shouts from the crowd of "KNEES!!!" (whenever the fighters are clinched), "RIP IT OFF!!!" (submissions), and general stuff like "SMASH IS ED IN!!!", "MAKE IM BLEED!!!!" or "JUST BLEED!" etc...

    Fair point.

I see the rules allow for penalizing fighters refusing to engage, this is good.
Have you considered ways of preventing stalling on the cage though? Electricity perhaps?

Can one man actually leave the cage as promised? You should fit a trap door so that after the victor has killed the loser, the victor gets to leave the cage and then they open the trap door and let the loser's body fall down an abyss, akin to that of 300.

Again, we did consider all options and I don't want to give too much away but I'll let a little bit more info out because you are showing so much support

We have a custom made venue for this event, which will see the crowd allowed almost right next to the cage. The crowd area then slopes steeply upward (like a football stadium) so everyone gets a great view. It will really add a claustrophobic atmosphere to the fights, just like old schoolyard type fights. I think this is something which the common man will be able to connect with.
