Cardio & endurance are cleary a pre requisit in this platform. However to balance this, the pre lims will be 3 x 3 min rnds & the finals will be 5 x 3 min rnds.

I fully accept whole heartedly that this will not meet with a lot of the current MMA practitioners, that said it was'nt created for them in mind. This is for the guy's that want to compete & show case that have not yet got to grips with the submissions. Even Jonny Doorman can have a go under these rules.

No, any attemt @ a sub on the ground, the ref will imediately intervene & stand the fighters up.

Fighter a can knock throw or take down fighter b, for the sole purpose of G n P, fighter b to survive has to either retaliate with strikes or negate fighter a by clinch or guard, once again @ this point the ref will intercept & stand the fighters back up.

Will this be same day weigh in as in weigh in immediately before you fight or would people weigh in at 12 and then have 7 or 8 hours before they fought?

It is indeed a same day weigh in, this platform is being created to negate as many advantages that other pro combat sports have.
Weigh in times are to be determined to discourage weight cutting. It is almost impossible to develop a formula that will work effectively, but we are hoping to estimate that no one should be able to gain more than 7-8lbs in the time frame alloted.

Best of luck with this, sure to make a few bob. Should be fun to watch too. I see this as a nice alternative to the current 'amateur MMA' competitions that heavily favour grapplers. I good little bridge for strikers wanting to do MMA.

will be hard to ref! when you defend the takedown and use a front headlock when does it become a submission? ie choke.
if ur on the bottom getting beat up can you use a sub to get the fight stood back up?

What happens if someone gets a body triangle for control and the other guy taps to it?

    Sounds like an interesting concept,

Would you be able to use moves like omoplata's in order to improve your position if your on the bottom?

Yeah, omoplata is another one... what happens if someone got to omoplata position to use to strike and the opponent taps but says it's because his shoulder was gonna tear?
