Yh, its just like in mma. They use the subjective way to score fights and everyone moans that its TOO subjective but then if they were to use numerical scoring such as a point for every clean strike, 2 points for a takedown, 4 for mount for example there would be a lot more boring fights where fighters would take down and stall much like in BJJ as they keep a tally of points.

So unfortunately you cant have it both ways

You're right, if there were points in MMA then there would be much more staling. I suppose the unpredictable nature of a judges decision would mean fighters would have to go for the sub/
