    Default Boxing Gyms in South Wales

    heyy.. ii was just wondering if anyone had a list of Boxing gyms, Good gyms in south wales area? I've been to Fight Academy Wales in Pontyclun which is a good club.. only it's like allmost an hour to ger there.. so training 2wice a week and petrol gets a lil expensive after a while. There was one in penrhys but ii dunno what happened to that.. any ideas greatly appreciated. Thankyou.

    theres a new one opened in ferndale (about a mile or so from pehrhys) above pitstop garage (if you dont know the area, let me know and ill send you a map)

    two brothers train everyone. bit rough and ready but a good atmosphere and good instruction.

    fucktard.. haha ii oughta put Rhondda && surrounding area but forgot and left south wales area instead..

    Above Pitstop Garage in Ferndale yeaa i'll have to go && checkk it out then..

    theyre there from about six i think but its a bit rough and ready. dont expect much. juice and barry are the ones that run it.

    you from the ferndale area then?

    ahh riite great thanks a lot for that man.. i'll be sure to check it out, ii think it's probably the one that a mate ii was in school with Lloyd Davies goes.. and he's a good Boxer. I'm from the Top end of the valley though, but atleast it's a lil closer than Pontyclun.. ii heared of one that was in either PenyGraig or Clydach aswell but ii dunno if that one's still there.

    yeah lloyds father barry is one of the coaches there. like i said its a bit rough and not to pretty but theres a few boys there and youll get a good workout.

    Alright lads, just wondering about the gym above pitstop. Can anyone just turn up and train? I'm not a boxer and at 28 a bit too old to start but wouldn't mind training to get fitter. Can I turn up and train without coaching?

    yeaa course you can mate..

    just wear a pair of shorts and a t-shirt and away to go, if you have a pair of your on gloves take them along, you don't ideally wanna be wearing an old sweaty spare pair. Go along and get a pair from Sports Direct or something, a cheap pair for the time being.. and if you get into it, buy a decent pair later on.
