    josh barnett has a dvd that has few ways to pass the rg. i dont remember any but what i normally do is get the foot thats on your hip off and go to side control. you can slam it down into a butterfly and hop into sidecontrol if your quick.

    Ok, if they already have your hand to the mat you have to stop them escaping their hips out to that side. Bury your head into their chest, make sure you keep centered to them and use the elbow of your free arm to control that side hip. Keep their hips flat and step up with your leg the side your arm is trapped (keep your leg tight to them to shut down their hip movement).

    From there you need to work to posture up/free your arm. There are a few things I use but they're much easier to show than describe in words.
