Bollocks! Swick was told if he beat Hardy he'd have a shot, Hardy beat him.
Therefore, by logical thinking (plus the fact Hardy is unbeaten in UFC) that would make Hardy number 1 contender.

thats true but its a very weak division compaired to gsp just the same way the lightweight is to bj and the middleweight is to anderson, and ya cant say its not, look at the build up to the Alves fight everyone was saying it going to be gsps hardest fight that Alves would be the better fighter and gsp made him look like a joke. not once have a heard anything anywhere near this said bout dan because hes just not up to gsps level
While GSP may be the "ultimate athlete" and all that, you still cant deny that Hardy has a fucking good chance. If Hardy lands a punch on GSP (which he most likely will at some point in the fight), then GSP is going to shit his pants. Even Swick has said something along those lines.
Everyone has their opinion on the outcome of this fight, and a lot of people on this forum believe that Hardy will be bringing the gold back to England with him on his return flight.
Just because there isnt a lot of noise about Hardy's chances like there was for GSP's previous opponents, seriously, dont count him out.
At the end of the day, this is the biggest (in Britain at least), most interesting fight in the UFC for a while, so just kick back and enjoy, while supporting whoever you want to win.
BUt if you're supporting GSP you'll be dissapointed!!!!
