Anyone going to the Abu Dhabi Trials in Belgium this weekend?

I am showing as being in the Blue belt category when I registered as a whitebelt. Would this be because there doesnt appear to be any white belts in my weight category? I'm not too concerned about who i fight (you can only fight / beat who is in front of you) but this is only my 3rd BJJ tournament so I'm not sure if this is common practice or not?

And your theory sounds about right. You could always ask to be in a higher weight at white, though?

Then again, if you want to do the absolute that gets the all-important planet tickets, that's white and blue together anyway, so maybe you want the practice? ^_^

Ill fight in the blue. I've been doing fairly well against the bluebelts in the gym so hopefully I wont be too fazed. I guess there will be for kudos if I win too.

Are you flying over or driving from the UK?

I'm driving from Frankfurt on Friday night and staying in what looks like possibly be the worst hotel ever. But it was only €25 a night each.

I'm catching a coach from London Friday morning to Antwerp. Then I'm getting a lift from there to the venue, and staying at the sport hotel right next to the place. Or so the people who organise the thing tell me. I've got no freaking clue what's going on, really. I just know I'm going to Antwerp. ^_^

National Express. Although I hear Megabus is generally better for internal uk trips.
