    Default Training before work

From tomorrow I'm going to try training in the morning before work (3 or 4 times a week) but am not sure what / when to eat and what kind of training would be best first thing. Evenings are usually busy for me but could maybe do 1-2 sessions a week after work too. General aims are to lose a bit of weight, reduce body fat percentage and general get a bit fitter!!

Food-wise, at the moment I have All Bran with blueberries and fruit juice, rather than milk, on waking at about 7.30 and then a mid morning snack at 10:30 ish at work (usually a couple of bits of fruit).

New plan is to get up about 7, get to the gym for 7.15ish and train for an hour before going of to work for 9. I can make some foods at work but haven't got access to a blender/food processor or anything.

Oh yeah, I'm a vegetarian but eat some fish.

Cheers, look forward to the advice.

Not really the end of the thread when it only address one of the three points of advice he is looking for?

    What to eat? Check.
    When to eat? ....
What training would be best first thing? ....

So, whilst helpful, I'd have to agree that it's not the end of the thread

Hmm, not exactly end of thread....

Currently working on something light and carby before I train (sugary cereal) and then a mixture of protein/carb once I get to work.

Would a protein shake / meal supplement be a better option post-workout?

Started off with cardio this morning, which was pretty good actually. Would weights work have a good effect first thing in the morning with little or no fuel in the tank?

    Cheers

    Touche.

Weights in a morning seems to be a very individual thing, i am not good at it. But if you are go for it

for fat loss LISS on an empty stomach is probably best, but through some HIIT in there for variety and there two trains of though, both with rationale behind them and mix it up.

For your food, reduce starchy carbs and eat clean. Dieting will produce the most debate and little consolidation of ideas. But few would argue with a well rounded diet with meat/fish vegies and a controlled amount of fruit below maintenance level calories will work.
