Thread: Serious fighters - night life

Default Serious fighters - night life

Just to clarify, this is a serious question and just simply a personal query.

As a serious fighter, do you eliminate altogether late nights as a part of your social life?
Is it entirely beneficial to do so?

Of course as human beings, for our mental processes to function normally, I think it's necessary to have a social life and so on but as a fighter is this something that you cut down on, eliminate or does your social life take on a more daytime routine - I dunno, going into town during the day or something, as oppose to nightclubs etc?

    Cheers.

I see, yes, I guess it's down to the person.

For myself, I have a seriously addictive/obsessional personality.
I at one point, I made the decision to forgo a social life altogether in lieu of training, but it's gotten to the point where it sucks so much I'm almost ready to pack in training altogether.

I'm trying to find a balance, but at the same time I don't want to get caught up in going to nightclubs or something all the time, cause that's what will happen, and that will totally do for my training and what I've put in so far.

So yeah, just basically wondering I guess, other ways a fighter can maintain a regular social life - not just quitting six weeks before the next bout - and does anyone have similar experience to what I'm describing?

Go out just don't drink? alchohol(sometimes drugs) sometimes makes people stop training due them not feeling good when training. Nothing stops you from doin both as long as you can handle both. I'm sure everyone has been in the same situation as you that trains.

It's what yu feel is best, some people can train and get wrecked every weekend and go in the gym the next few days and be right as rain, i can't but i know people who can. There even people who continue to drink up until a week of an event. It's what you can handle.

If you want a social life and want to train try both if you can't handle drinking then training a few days later, don't drink when you go out, stop training or top going out.

It's all about what you want more.

I'm sure GSP has said he loves clubbing and goes out all the time, just doesn't drink or take drugs.

Chuck obviously loves it too... but maybe the sober part not so much!

How bad do you want it? Being up late is bad for the quality of your sleep and your recovery, even if you dont have to work. Good once in a while, maybe once a week and just drink water or a good beer. if you really need to get laid escort girls are the way to go, in the long run you save so much money and you dont need to spend your nights in shitty clubs dancing to some gay RNB, getting rejected most of the time.
