UMA Open No Gi Groundfighting Champs on 1st May with Ladies Brackets and Absolute

Ladies, it would be great to see a good turnout for this No Gi Groundfighting Event, we were asked for more Weight Brackets for the Female Fighters, we have done that, and have also included a Free Absolute Division too.

The rest is now up to you to help support Events like ours and others that try and help grow the sport, especially for the Female Fighters...

• Junior Girls: U40kg – U50kg – U60kg – O60kg (15 and Under)

• Senior Women’s Weight Brackets (All Experience Levels): – U60kg – U70kg – U80kg – O80kg (16 and over)

• Women’s Absolute Division: Open Weight and all Experience Levels (Free Entry for and to the Qualified Fighters only). (16 and over)

Caz Tweedy U60kg - Leicester Shootfighters, as always is again the first female to register, infact she was the first full stop a couple of weeks ago, so lets see if we can get a decent ladies team for this No Gi Event...

No, the Lowest Weight Bracket for Women is U50kg here at the UMA Events, this and the other Weights were added based on feedback from the forums, especially from the Ladies etc, due to most Events only having two Brackets, i.e. U60kg and O60kg, like oursleves did, hence, most of the females would not enter as there was not a lot of choice etc, etc, etc.

Here are the U.M.A.'s Womens Brackets:

Women’s Weight Brackets

(All Experience Levels) : U50kg – U60kg – U70kg – U80kg – O80kg

Women’s Absolute Division:
Open Weight and all Experience Levels (Free Entry for and to the Qualified Fighters only).

If we don't get enough Entries etc, then we will amalgamate any Brackets that only have a single female fighter etc.
