I agree some of the posts were a bit dictator like lol but just because we don't want our country to be taken the piss out of, i think we're made to feel bad. The governments lack of doing ANYTHING at all has driven people to doing silly things like voting for the BNP and such like.

If we went to an any other country and started trying to change things, and alter the way they do things, do you know what would happen? We would be told to Fuck right off! Rightly so in my opinion, its their country.

When foreigners come to OUR country, and we cant have childrens toys in shopping malls, posters or signs that say merry christmas, sniffer dogs on the london underground (because they're unclean animals) Or fly our countrys fucking flag. Then its a sad state of affairs. Unfortunately Islam is one of the religions that stands out for being a culprit of complaining, and preventing all of the above.

Their is a thin line between wanting fair and equal rights, with a country ran in a british way, and racism. I try to not step over that line because Im not a racist person. But when immigrants are dictating what goes on, and how my country is ran something needs to be done.

Lol! Did you see that tv show on channel 4 a while back. The brits that were complainin "bloody foreigners takin all our jobs, so we can't get work" they replaced them in the place of the poles and that. They were shite, werent willing to work, werent prepared to work for the money they were being given. Complete moaning bastards. Some of them never even turned up to their placements. So thats total bollocks when people say that.

Do you live in area with a large non Christian population?

Do you not think it better that the council/whoever should reach out to the whole community during a time that many religions hold festivals rather than isolating non Christian groups by not including them in a specific message especially in an increasingly secular society?

I think that councils are not isolating people. If they do not believe in jesus (Im not a christian but i celebrate christmas, as bizarre as that sounds) then that is of no concern to me. I would happily see signs up about their festivals or cultures, because I am a tolerant person. I think it was ocuana ^^ who said that he is christian, but wouldn't try and stop south park writing jesus sketches because they can do what they want. but some cultures seem to just take everything to heart. See the offence in everything.

I think that society is becoming more and more secular because of the way the people in power do things. They need to go about things differently, because what they're doing now just isnt working.

I'm all for immigration when the immigrants are NEEDED, i.e they are needed to take a certain job they specialise in, otherwise there is no need for immigrants.

Also, fuck the EU and fuck assylum seekers, we are taken the piss out of by both, why the fuck are we in the EU, who the fuck wants to go live and work in a majority of other shitty european countries where you earn fuck all, yet they all flock here to take the piss out of our shitty system. EU is a load of shite.

Is it really exclusion? I'm not a Christian, I still buy people gifts and have done so for years. I do not however celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. I know many Sikh AND Muslim families who do this also. I can't fathom how the name Christmas will instantly alienate other religions from doing this also?

Alot of Muslims take the hard line of not celebrating Christmas at all, their Prophet Mohammed wrote;

He who innovates something in this matter of ours (religion), will have it rejected.

Interpreted to mean that Christmas, Easter etc are not Islamic holy days so again why does changing the name make it anymore acceptable? It's still Christmas. Religious tolerance and "good will to all men" really needs to stem much further then Councils changing the name of another religious holiday to what they think is more PC for non Christians.

Of note; I celebrated Diwali with some friends while in Malaysia, but i'm not Hindu either and nobody of a Sikh, Jainism or Buddhist religion sought to change it's name to make it more acceptable, they just took the name onboard and message and celebrated it.

seen that episode last night and loved it. the stuff southpark turn out its unreal how they get away with it is unreal.

granted though i do think islam will be over reacting again. i mean southpark rip on the jews every single episode. if they reacted in the way a lot of muslim fanatics are threatening to do WW3 would of started due to a friggin cartoon.
