    Default Shin Splints

From googling and my coach it seems i may have the early stages of shin splints.
I have a fight on sat so stopping training isn't really an option until after then.
What have you found to be the best ways to deal with them? what advice would you give? what should i do?
    Thanks

i went to runners need, they take some footage of you running on a tread mill then they show the right pair of trianers for you. I had bad shin splints and they cleared up after that and never came back.

Cool, i rarely run but they became far worse after i did a couple of hour long runs recently, may be the problem. Is it expensive? i'm a skint student so can't afford all that much ...

Have a gander at my post as well fella. If you need anymore advice just PM me or ask on this thread. I think I've cleared everything up in my post on that thread though.

I just didn't get a special mention by Paul

I suffered with them for years. Irrespective of my weight or running. I simply dont run at all now - call that a cop out if you wish but I can work around that terrible issue. I found tight shin bandaging helped ease the pain during training - tubi grip stuff. You know what im talking about? Sort of madness sakuraba would have strapped up all the time.

I used to suffer with them bad, i think it was because i spent ages weight lifting and then went straight into running in shit shoes/no warm up etc. I bought new shoes which helped but didn't solve it but with time they went away, still feel them every now and again but it's nothing like it used to be.

I used to rub anti inflammatory gel on them after every run, really helped.
