Do you want to be a fighter...
Here at Adrenalin Fighting Championship we’re always on the lookout for new and upcoming fighters [Am & Pro]
Whether you’re a seasoned club fighter or a complete beginner there are various routes open to you:
If you have no experience at all in the martial arts then it’s generally not a good idea to jump straight into a full blown MMA fight. We would strongly recommend that you join a decent gym to develop your skills and fitness first.
There isn’t any specific Martial Art that is ideal for MMA; however there are certain elements that need to be covered:
- Stand Up
- Vertical Grappling (Clinch/Takedowns)
- Ground Fighting
There are a lot of clubs out there that teach just MMA but there also a lot that teach the individual arts and will also help you to put it all together for use in an MMA environment.
Quite a few Martial Arts/MMA clubs also run inter-club competitions; there are also a lot of events out there that will help your transition from ‘Club to Cage’. Check out the Martial Arts magazines and the internet for more info on these events. [Ask around on this forum as well]
Seasoned Club Fighter
You’ve been training in MMA/Martial Arts for a while and have a few inter-club fights under your belt. Why not step up and test your mettle at an Amateur bout.
Most events restrict the techniques that are allowed in amateur bouts and the level of padding is slightly higher i.e. Shin pads are sometimes worn and the gloves have more padding than the Pro ones. Amateur events offer the best spring board for fighters wanting to join the Pro circuit.
If you’re at a level where you’re competing already and would like the opportunity to showcase your skills on one of our events. Please feel free to drop us an email.
