Question about Optimus show!!

I don't want to spam that thread with Ian Freemans new show, but I don't think I understand whats going on here.

Who went to the show? was it as bad as I have heard from a few guys that went/fought there. also I heard he offered a full refund to fans as the main event he advertised didnt happen (as far as I heard) but no one has got it?
i even heard some fighters didnt get paid for things they were promised.

This to me is all stuff I have heard, and I would like to know for sure if this is all legit and is this show not good for the sport?

I think its obvious Ian Freeman has issues with these guys, I don't really know Ian, well, I don't know him at all to be honest. but I don't know of any other show or promoter having issues with him. and he has been in the game a long time.
so either these guys have messed up for real, and real bad.. or Ian has lost his sense of humor

also, Optimus said that it was going legal with Ian. so couldnt speak of it. WTF!!! why has police or anything come into this? thats messed up

I do know Ian quite well and cant understand why Jonathon sent the police to his house about his Facebook status', i saw nothing threatening. Anyway i want to keep that seperate as Jonathon seems to have some ideas about promotions in the North East joining forces for the good of the sport and that sounds good.

What feedback have you heard about the show from people who were there? I think thats a good judge of the quality/ integrity of a show i might work with in the future.

Just to clear this up, yes Jonathon Burn has been to our events and yes by the looks of things he was there to see who sells the tickets and has the most support. It has now been confirmed that he managed to make his way upstairs and confront these fighters.
Now what i cant understand is why would he want to hold his next MMA Event 2 weeks before mine?. Shall i reschedule my date 2 weeks before his so that the guys he has matched could quite possibly become injured F**cking up his whole tournament up. NO.
Looks like he really does want to work with other promotions
All i can say is my dates are there black and white for all to see so if any other promotion would like to work with me and around my dates then that would be great for all involved especially the fighters. If not then i may have no choice later in the year to be changing my dates even if they fall on the same weekend or even the week before

Any promoter can ask anyone to fight but sneaking upstairs into VIP and fighters only is another matter and defintely poaching in my eyes but like you just my opinion.

With regards to that point Rob, He is claiming he wants to work with other promotions, i think that is admirable and the way forward.

On an unrelated note, in your opinion, hypothetically, would a promoter who wanted to work with other promotions especially the biggest one in his local area, put his show two weeks before the other and approach fighters at his previous event?

Would you consider that a little dodgy, if not poaching?
