The Argentinians can go bollocks. Can you imagine the US giving California, Nevada, Utah, etc. back to Mexico? No fucking chance. The islanders are British. The Argies have no rightful claim to it.

that's probably what he told me, he was out there a few months back and was showing photos taken out of the window of the passanger aircraft he was travelling in of eurofighters unbelievably close (Top Gun-esque) giving an escort as they came into land, he also said there's no a crazy amount of SAM battery's literally all over the island.

This stuff fascinates me, when we meet up I literally have to consciously stop myself from talking 'shop' with him

i think the argies had a penal colony there for about 5 years, its not in argentina at all. about 300 miles from their coast. a few countries tried to settle it but couldnt and the brits managed successfully.

Well, I guess it depends if you agree with the United Nations. They've been trying to mediate this since at least 1973. Probably even before then; if I took the time to jog my memory. Fortunately, after everything the UK did for us on 911 and the war on terror, England will always have a faithful ally.

The Argies alone couldn't do much, but they are cosying up with Chavez of Venezuela, who in turn is rather friendly with Iran.

Blood will be spilt over this.

Unfit one - I heard this too, from some people in the Royal Navy in a pub. What I heard, is that the oil reserve was thought to be the size of North America - bigger than they are making out - just absolutely huge, and until recently, the methods just weren't around to be able to get to it - but apparently that's all to change soon. Let's hope it don't pop a leak!
