I went to one of jays classes on tuesday night, hes a nice guy and was nothing but friendly to me. He aint a black belt though. No way. His coaching gave the game away big time.

If he's lying about being a BJJ blackbelt he's not a nice guy. He's a cunt.

Only found this thread today and it made very interesting reading. I for one am glad people tried to find out if he was for real or not but it is a shame it looks like he wasn't.

Very entertaining thread, are there any more threads like this? Any one have a link to one I heard about about a brown belt?

P.S having rolled with many people from Team Unity I can verify that the anti unity comments were totally unfair and incorrect.

Jay did say he was a bjj blackbelt by mistake, what he actually meant to say was he is a B.J. Blackbelt!
Or at least was before the accident, which has hampered his spinal agility.

Wow, hell of a thread.

I read it from the start and was desperately waiting for this dude to destroy everyone with a certificate of proof from some amazing BJJ gym. The vitriol was pretty nasty, but I guess it proves the point that the Scottish MMA community know their shit, and nobody is gonna get away with rolling into town and claiming to be something they are not. And that's a good thing, surely.
