I went to my first Judo class last night and man was it hard. The guys in the club were great, not too much (what I would describe as) bullsh*t. After a warm up I went with another beginer and we were shown a couple of hold downs, then it was me and him back to back and have a go, great stuff. I always knew it would be hard but I guess as with a lot of things you have to give it a go to see truly how hard it is. Can't wait to go back next week and looking forward to not aching as well.
Also whilst I was there, it was in a large sports centre with other martial arts clubs too. I saw posters for the usual kick boxing, kung fu, tae kwon do etc but saw 1 poster which particularly interested me. It was for a kickboxing club which uses and teaches techniques from kickboxing, kung fu, karate, filipino stick fighting and .................... wait for it .............................. you guessed it .............................. Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
