    Default Photographs in public places

I am quite interested in taking photos and knew there were a few problems people were having due to the terrorism act i.e. People taking photos in public places were being searched on by police. I never knew things were this bad in our country.

If I had not seen or read the above I would never have know what details you don't need to give to the police nor that security guards can do fuck all if you are on a public space.

It really brought home to me how our rights are being eroded away.

clearly the guys know their rights, and the police only know a certain script to read from.. and when thats questioned or asked in more detail, the only answer that fat bloke on the bike had, was "well your gonna show me"

The police and the politicians who run this country are the terrorists.

Well that's what happens when you try to stop Christopher Eccleston from taking photos!

I'm on his side but can't help thinking that it would have just been so much easier if he had just given his name and address, they would check, find nothing he leaves, 2 mins tops rather than 8 hours in cells...

True but once you have given your name I believe they are allowed to record it. Would you really like your name logged against a report linking you to (potential) terrorism or even put on a 'terrorist' list?
