getting your fights off a DVD onto your PC

could someone give me a step by step on how to rip a fight off a DVD to your PC. I'd like to put my old stuff online.

Google and download "winx DVD ripper".
It's pretty good and fairly easy to follow - even IO managed it.

yeah, i used that handbrake for PC, good for ripping chapters. but i could only covert to ipod/iphone format
