cheers bateman that's answered all the queiries and concerns that i had about the diet with some great info and tips in there.

today is the first day of a lifestyle change for me, slowly improving my ankle and can start getting back into training so im doing a proper overhaul.
i might document it in this thread just to help me keep track and incase i need more help .

    am currently 90kgs.

diet i've eaten today and exercise done/doing that im now implementing daily has been:

    morning:
weight session + half hour cross trainer
2 poached eggs on a slice of toast

    lunch:
small chicken fillet and some vegetables

    afternoon:
    low fat yoghurt and apple
    5 x 2 minute rounds of sparring

    evening:
    some fruit and nuts
    playing indoor cricket
    spaghetti bolognaise

    Does that diet look Ok?

just need to maintain it now

looks fine, you could make slight tweaks, but its better to have something you will enjoy as you are morelikely to stick with it.

    ie
    oats for bread
    fruit for yoghurt

better slightly non-optimum and fun than. minor improvement for misery

did you see the eat every 2 - 3 hours bit mate ? thats the bit that helps big time..

    I eat at 8:30, 10 ish , 12 ish , 3 and then again at 6 ...

Stapes did one for me a couple of years back, I stuck to it and still pretty much follow it now.. , the times are as above.
If anything has had a big impact on me it was that plan that he put together. I cant say enough positive things about it.

yeh more chance of me keeping it as a perminant lifestyle change if it encompasses food i enjoy eating. i tend to eat alot of bread (sandwiches, toast etc) im cutting it right down now but i'll still eat it now and then.
i don't think i'll manage going totally 100% optimum in my diet

Yeh mate trying to encorporate eating more regular, or "feeding" smaller meals more regularly. today i've had 2 oranges, ham/salad sandwich, tomato and vegetable soup and have salmon and vegetables for dinner.
going to get another snack in a minute but bit short on ideas for good, filling low fat snacks, any advice?
