Naturally Fort Boyard required fitter people and an even more appealing presenter - but it lacked the full variation that the Crystal maze had.
Crystal maze had various themes and the last level of gold leaf catching/stuffing made for spastic type entertainment.
Plus - "we can still get the crystal" will always be a fave quote of mine.

I grew up with Crystal Maze and Krypton Factor and both where awesome. Fort Boyard was kinda lame to me but Melinda jiggle bits made it watchable.
I'm torn... Crystal Maze has a great "those were the days, weren't they" nostalgia attached to it, but Fort Boyrd has a "fucking hell, look at those cracking tits; just had my first-wank" nostalgia . Hmm... Hmm...
