Sandee v Hayabusa v Twins

Got about £50 squids for a pair of 16oz gloves, any of you guys got anything negative or positive to say about the above brands?

Leaning towards the hayabusas at the mo cos of the double wrist straps, any input would be great

I've tried the Hayabusa's, personally I found them too hard for hard sparring. The foam doesn't really 'break in'. I'd personally avoid them if hard sparring is something you want to use them for. For light sparring/bagw work/pad work I think they'd be superb.

A couple of people I train with use Sandee gloves and swear by them. Very good quality, some of the best made gloves around by all accounts.

I was looking for 16oz sparring gloves recently and, after a LOT of time spent reading reviews of pretty much every glove out there, I bought these yesterday: http://www.lemarr.com/boxing/product...oves-velcro-1/

cheers for the quick reply, im pretty new to the sport so wont be heavy sparring for a little while, so maybe the hayabusas will be sweet while i work on my technique etc, then just use them as a heavier bag glove, and get a dedicated sparring pair, i heard this is good practice for your partners protection ?

Im really tempted by the Sandees as well though, just concerned that they wont be supportive enough around my wrist, although as im still pretty green, it could be that im still getting used to it?

Nice gloves btw, look forward to your review, what made them your final choice ?

the sandees are the best value for money. they're comfier in my opinion than twins and a lot better for sparring than hayabusas, and theres as much wrist support in them as any others. sandee = two thumbs fresh

It would be an expensive way of doing it but if you've got the money then go for it. The hayabusa would probably last you for years using them for that.

I wanted a pair that would last me for years, that I would use soley for sparring and that had very very good hand protection. From the reviews I read I decided these would be worth the dough. Whether they are worth the extra 35odd quid over Sandee remains to be seen...

cheers again for the replies, went and got a pair of the hayabusa today from sugar rays, well pleased with the construction etc, and gave them a light bit of use in thai today, the padding does seem pretty hard, will give em a proper blast tomorrow at boxing so should get a better feel of them then

bit late on the reply. twins are the only pair of the 3 i've owned and having used them sparring every week for the past 18 months they're still like new.
can't compare them to the others but they only cost me 40 quid and that included being delivered to my door. get some bargains if you shop around.
