    Default Gambling

I know its a mugs game as more often than not you put back in what you take out.

I enjoy the excitement but also am able to take out the emotional factor even when alot rides on a result. Rewards often come to those who are brave.

Ive had a few bets on over the last few weeks and although a few were odds on bets there were a couple that wern't. These are over a wide range of sports.

The question is: as I am now quite a bit up (nearly 4k sitting in the account as profit) do I take a bold approach and go for it this weekend?. I have my eye on a couple of really well priced bets in the UFC and I could turn the money in the account into 10k if things went my way. At that point I think I would say thanks and close down my account through risk of betting and losing.

The sensible side of me is saying bank 2k then use the rest and then no matter what happen i'm 2k to the good but my spontaneous side is saying this could WIN big.

Anyone got any good tips for this weekend (preferably not horse racing) in the Football or UFC?

The big bet I was looking at was Poirier to beat Mcgregor at 9/4, that is a crazy price for someone who is ranked above, consistently performs and looks good everywhere.

I also looked at putting the below on as its effectively 3/1 on the Sub or Points and Double bubble on the KO if it comes in.

Dustin Poirier by KO or Submission 4/1
Dustin Poirier by KO or on Points 4/1

Managed to turn an initial loss into a win

Bet 1021.75 on overs and cashed out for 636.54 at 1-1 with 10 mins to go so created a loss of 385.21

I then switched to unders for 1k (see below) creating a win profit of 615.38

    Under 2.5 Goals
    500.00 @ 8/13 807.69 - 807.69
    Under 2.5 Goals
    500.00 @ 8/13 807.69 - 807.69

coupled with the loss I made overall 230.17

Just stuck on 700 for Liverpool to qualify at 2/5 aswell

Ok, my input, I can put you onto something that will change the way you bet..lets just say you'll slaughter bookies, its about placing bets, offsetting those bets and pretty much no risk returns.. Initial service costs 32 to sign up, depending how many bookies you've used online - if not many, you'll clear maybe 600 or so easily - and noting the bank you have, you'll do that in probably a week if not less.. Then move onto the 97 service which I've just moved onto, that is 97 for a year - get access to a private FB page where basically its taking up offers, looking for loopholes and all sorts of shit, mate of mine made 1k profit in about 6 weeks, the more money you have to use as a bank on betfair, the more money you'll churn over...

I used to bet, now, its a mugs game, I play to win haha!

Is that "arb" betting? if so its a bit of a pain to keep opening up accounts with different betting sites. It does work but all your doing is squeezing any margin off each and laying off etc. Not a gambling style I like as such.

I just lumped the 2k on Poirier (as above) in 2 seperate bets as to win he is 9/4 yet to win by 2 methods he is 4/1 so you can cover them all by betting on 2 double methods at 3/1

I also lumped 2k on Europe to win the Ryder cup (1/2 to lift the trophy) based on the fact that they are the form side, won more recently, at home and the US are without some top guys

That's all the profit on now so no going back!

Am considering a 1k Lucky 31 on 5 fights in the UFC aswell (not to include McGregor/Poirier). That would take me to 1k down overall if all bets lost. I could live with that tbh but would not expect that to happen!

ha ha, is that because after all your Vice's there's no money left for Gambling? :-)

I went and did it: Put on a Lucky 31 and picked Mighty Mouse, Cruz, Zingano, Masvidal and S Thompson = 1550 wagered (50 a line). That would return 2735.71.

Some of it is Arb betting, but you can access software that give you all the odds across all bookmakers in an instant so you can spot the arbs... Its also casino loopholes, money back specials, all sorts really, I'm just about to complete an offer that gives me 200 free spins at 80p a spin on a slot machine....those are the ones that have potential for nice windfalls...
