why cant i put links and line breaks in my sig?

cant seem to do this but loads of people havebthem. when i go to my admin panel, html is disallowed so i cant just put the code in to do it. am i being a spaz? how has everyone got links going in their sig? does admin/mod need to give me permission to use html?

I think you can't set new ones at the moment. I can't change mine, although it still has the links from before. So now I just don't update it.

Stupid, but hey. >_<
