i wonder why people get the tattoos they did, what made them get that design poked into them for ever, all that shit. i dont think tattoos have to have a particular meaning and all that, i just wonder what made them commit to that design

I don't think I have seen a good mma tat yet. The vast majority are horrible. A list of the 100 worst MMA fighter tattoos would only just scratch the surface.

Also people. Different strokes for different folks.

I have several small tattoos that over the years have blurred a little and are in places that I now want larger pieces of work done. But they mean a lot to me emotionally. For instance like when my granddad died or when my close friend took his own life.

So what you may consider to be a shit tattoo could well indeed be a significant part of that persons life.

So one thing is clear from this thread is that different people have a wide range of different standards when it comes various subjects.

Agreed, "most" people have specific tattoo's for a reason, wether they look shit or not they might mean something to them, i have a big red pheonix peice on my left arm, because years ago my dad was died for a few seconds and came back to life, and lived for another 5 years, so i have this for him, some people think it looks good, some think it's shit, but i don't care because i know what it is.
