tbh I think guys like nick brooks & dave coles are pretty good examples of starting bjj a little later in life. they've achieved loads.
there's also a guy in our team called savio aragona. he's 45 & didn't start until a couple of years ago. competes loads & his dedication is phenomenal. he's almost at purple belt. good role model & great bloke.

Dude, started my BJJ journey at the tender young age of 46 back in 2007
I just hurt more and hurt longer lol, and need a little more time to recover than the young guns I train with in Nottingham and Mansfield, but apart from that, I enjoy my training.
