Any luck finding a new gym yet mate?what's your choices?hope the recovery is going well!
Cheers mate, recovery going slower than i would like, tried to push myslef the other week but hurt my knee so im taking things extra slow now. Its been 6 weeks so hopefully another 6 and ill be back fight training. Ive had 2 full weeks doing nothing now so maybe this week try body weight exercises and jog..............ive been looking at a couple of gyms and trying to fit timetables around work and college. Also i definately want to train BJJ so looking for a club with that. The faktory at newcastle looks solid but ian freeman has opened a gym close by that looks great also (tho it doesnt have BJJ). Anyway i have a few more weeks to choose lol.
Just an update for anyone interested.........ive been taking things very easy training wise, the past 2 weeks i have been doing body weight exercises and running, last week i got a full 6 days training in so im happy with that, even though it was just light. Ive been following a CKD diet and im down to 12st 9lbs, 80.050kg..lowest ive been in while, anyway im going to up the training this week by adding light weights back in to my routine, im also getting an 8 week strength and conditiong program off my S&C trainer from my local gym that i will be starting a week on Monday......with uping the training i will be using a TKD diet instead of the CKD so i have carbs pre and post workout............my knee still has its moments but in most positions it feels strong, when im in the bottom squat position is were it feels weakest....

this week i have had another 6 days of light training, mon,wed,fri weights (very light) tue,thur,sat running (pushed myself hard this week) running hills. My knee has been good except a slight twinge on fridays weight sesion that i pushed through and it feels fine. Its been 10 weeks today since the opp and i am sure its pretty much healed......i am starting my new strength and condition routine and diet that my training coach has set up for me (this is an 8 week plan) mon,wed,fri will be my S&C days, with Tue,Thur,Sat running or rest days....also monday night ill be attending a BJJ class for 2 hours, depending on how my knee holds up ill be sticking with this every monday,eventually adding more BJJ, MMA, Boxing, Muay thai as i go.

17-10-11 I had my first BJJ lesson at the Faktory, really enjoyed it, the lads were all sound crack and the gym is excellent....my knee hurt a bit but nothing to bad........will be buying a cheap Gi next week untill i can afford a more quality one...

I have started my 8 week S&C routine and my diet....weight 12stone 9lbs, im at college tuesdays and wednesday evenings so cant train...tho next week is half term so i can .
Monday- 1400- S&C routine........1900-2100 BJJ

Wednesday-1400- S&C routine
Thursday-REST
Friday-1400-S&C routine
Saturday-Run
Sunday-REST
This weeks training has been tough as its the first full hard training ive doen in a while....enjoyed myself and glad to be training intense again....since next week is half term i will be getting more BJJ in! whicj is excellent.

weight=12st 6 lbs as of friday so diet and training seem to be working well........i was at a stag do at the weekend so had a lot to drink! paying for it now tho!......off the drink untill christmas now.

week ending 06/11/11......my training in brief
weight=12st 6 lbs,,,ive stayed the same but happy with that as i didnt diet or train monday and tuesday as i was fucked off the wknd drinkinkg! its time for me to start progressing, im off work all next week so will be training super hard, i have 3 semi-private training sessions with my S&C coach booked in.Also ill be training with a couple of fighters he trains (so this will be a good insight to how fit i need to to be lol)

I have ordered a BJJ Gi from grapplestore.co.uk, hopefully it will be here early next week....im hopeing to start kickboxing again on thursday night, so looking forward to that.

Had 3 days of semi private S&C sessions with my instructor each session lasted about an hour, really pushed hard and loved every minute of it....going to rest tomorrow and start back at kickboxing tomorrow night....
