lol...well im 29, just started on this journey so cant see me ever being UFC potential, though i have good work ethic, very dedicated and dont mind taking a hammering, so maybe when i can give it back ill get more confident (but never UFC confident haha)

but cheers for the kick up the ass to believe in myself a bit more.

Had my first mma class today, at my local gym taught by billy spence, it was my first taste of grappling ever! and i really enjoyed it, learnt how to control from side mount(think thats what its called) chest to chest making the botttom persons breathing hard. then how to get into mount (again not sure right terminolgy)basically above them ready for ground and pound....and some other stuff i cant remeber already( all very technical) BUT i fuken loved it!!..........the lads were all sound and good crack and at my level and a small amount above, though no fighters (so beginners really) very exhausting and i got a fat lip lol and sore knees..........may even like this better than stand up.

well looking forward to the real mma classes at durham and bjj at newcastle!!!

    cheers.

Maybe have a note pad and pen in your bag to make notes or jot down things you want to remember.

Good luck and keep it up
