Realised through my research and attending my first few classes,hygeine is so important! So today i went out and bought
Antibacterial hand cream
Spray on plaster
A sports bandage
is there anything else i have left out?
kickboxing tonight, did light warm up then into light sparrring, got to use my new gloves, shinguards....took turns being defensive then offensive (think thats correct terminology) then just light whatever but still no kicks,,,,,then on the pads with instructor and then a very hard cardio session......again loved it! oh and i have to fuken blood blisters on both big toes haha.

U gonna need some sort of anti-fungal prep I use ketoconazole shampoo as a body wash as well as a shampoo. U can get it from a pharmacy a bit pricey though just dont tell the person at the pharmacy its not for a body wash just say its for dandruff. U can get it for nowt off the dr just tell him u have a itchy scalpe and u have used some of this stuff off ur mate.

MMA yesterday afternoon at my local gym, we did stand up training/just with hands....we did a lot of cardio/core work before starting which was really good, as for the pad work, i was a bit disapointed as the lad holding the pads had an injury and could really get my workout in....anyway still enjoyed it.....no sparring! gutted! i just want to be sparring lol...
week ending 22/05/11......my training in brief
Monday-Kickboxing at my local gym 1.5 hours
Tuesday-S&C circuit, used Kbells, Ropes, Chains and bands, did 4 circuits rest 3 mins inbetween, last circuit in chain mail 10kg
Wednesday-MISSED Muay Thai, as i had to go to enrol at college, so REST DAY
Thursday-GYM CLOSED, i was there outside at 0700 joging car park as usuall for warm up....but no one opened! apparently there had been a notice on notice board explaining they would be shut, ha so my fault!
Friday-Did S&C circuit from Tuesday and then half hour of shadow boxing using what i have learnt and tried to keep myself flowing(very good workout)
Saturday-Beginners MMA, Stand up using fists only, core work
If anyone has any questions on anything please ask.....
next week, No work so i will be training 2 x per day, but cant do the muay thai or bjj for money reasons.
Trained 2 x today,
a.m did strength training, squats, deadlifts, mill press, bench press......test what i can lift so i can gauge if im loseing strength as i try to lose weight....then 20 mins shadow boxing, concentrateing on footwork, head movement, ducking at the knees...(i kept ducking like a boxer from the waist) no good if im going to be kicked in the face haha.
p.m Kickoxing...had a really hard session, the instructor was more tough tonight,,we had pads for kicking and punching keeping guard up at all times (if you didnt you were punished haha) the we did light sparring with hands and legs(first time for me) then we upped it to a bit more harder sparring! absouloutely loved it!! i got a good kick to the jaw off a much taller bloke haha made my day lol.
Today i trained with a friend who is a BJJ Blue Belt and has won a few competitions......we did a weights leg workout, not very hard.....and then he showed me a couple of defensive moves on the mats....how to get out of guard and side control....still not 100% accurate on terminology.......anyway it was good stuff..........going at it again tomorrow and also going to do some stand up sparring.
