Default Amir khan - Analysis *Spoiler

Great fight from a bigger, faster, more accurate Khan with a fantastic game plan.

To anyone who didn't get to see the replay of the debatable low blow here is a freeze frame. To me its a legit stomach shot above, at the very worst 'on' the limit

Boxing really needs to sort this 'below the bellybutton' rule - it makes no sense when you cant see the bloody bellybutton. bit like saying the tennis ball was 'out' when theres no court lines.

They need to wear board shorts like in MMA and not massive fluffy pants that come up to their nipples.

I think anywhere below the thick waistband is low.

You could tell by Judah's initial reaction that it wasn't low as he would have protested to the ref when taking the count.

The shot is coming up and hits the waistband, as these guys wear them so high then it is a bit unclear exactly how 'low' the blow is

All in all I was impressed with Khan's offence, speed, movement and footwork was good considering the southpaw/orthadox stance where the lead feet meet in the middle.

I think it's far fetched to think that Khan is an eligable contender for Mayweather down the line unless he improves massively

I can't see why Bradley is ducking Khan? I hope it is the next fight

I was also impressed with Khan. He was clearly winning the fight and Zab could possibly be accused of trying to do "an Enty". (TM copyright CW Forum 2011)

The shot clearly landed above the waist line. I think it clipped his cup on the way up to the belly. But it was the slightest of contact and would not have affected Juda. The shot landed to the side of his belly button.

If boxing shorts were not so ridiculous then there would have been no bone of contention.

Also just looked at the pic above again and you can see that Juda's shorts are higher at the front than at the back. If you turned the shorts back to front then it would be clearly skin contact.

A bit unusual at this level but Zab just didn't seem to want it at that stage. He just didn't get a look-in.

Maybe you should cut some weight and fight Mayweather then, now that you have improved?
