BJJ/MMA gym in portsmouth?

I will be starting uni in portsmouth in september and I was wondering if anyone knows any good mma or bjj gyms around the portsmouth area? Thanks

Nope, I'm in Bournemouth at Jeff Lawsons place so too far from me but have had interclubs againt this gym and go to all the local shows so I know the level of fighters they have there, also i have just recently been down to their new place for a look..

The gym is amazing and they have a lot of great fighters to train with, go check it out

Hairymachine is correct. I used to train at south coast submissions before they moved to gym01 and Brian is a great coach. They have great professionals there like Phil harris, mike ling, mok rahman, Owen Gayle etc.... From what I have heard the new gym is amazing and now they have bought Colin in-house to teach bjj (nova uniao: alex de souza /shaolin lineage) they have everything you'd want under one roof.

Yeah I have checked out their website and the facilities look really good. Already worked out what classes I'm gna do haha! hairymachine look out for me in those interclub bouts in a few months

On the good reviews I hear about Gym01, I'm advising a pal of mine Philip Morides to go there for the MMA class. He's a complete newbie and nice big lad so treat him well guys.

Unquestionably Gym01 is the place to train on the South Coast. Awesome new facilities Brian has there.
