One point to add for the avenues of weight loss during "short term weight loss" that I'm sure you'll cover. You also lose a significant amount of weight from the GI tract in faeces, that during severe energy restriction/ complete fasting will not be replaced. In some individuals this weight loss might be very large, in others it might be fairly small.
