It was a gamble for the UFC to put on these bouts on a pay per view card but to put two heavyweight fights at altitude was perhaps one of the worst conceptual ideas since the Mega CD.

another hughes/hallman would be epic.
'I really loved the fighting, and the extreme cage they use. Its just so extreme and awesome. '
It's the only fight that I can see for him at the minute to be honest.
It's frightening to see how quick the best in the sport falter.

Almeida quit not long after that fight as well.
I honestly think GSP was the beating of him back at UFC 65.
I remember Hughes getting body lock on him and not being able to take him down and when they broke looking visibly shocked.

Hughes needs to retire, as does alot of other fighters including Gomi....im sick of having my heart broke![]()
You can't put a limit on anything. The more you dream, the farther you get

yeah, Gomi is not the same these days.
i agree with Jay, even his wins over the credible NY BJJ squadron went against the grain of his decline. still, eeked out a few extra quid for him and looked good.

On another note I had a nine fight sweep at UFC 135 and Ben Rothwell was the only one who lost.
Blew me quite a few dollars.
I think that added to my contempt towards those heavyweight fights.
