These those TRX bands you are on about? If so mate in work was raving about them yesterday to me, he used some in a gym, went and and bought a set same day himself....

I want them now and I don't even know why

They're not bands, they are rigid (i.e. they are not these flexible things you can do curls with etc.)

Yeah they are what I thought -bands probably wrong word for em, thing is I have a cable machine at the moment, lot of those exercises I can do on the cable machine, but still quiet fancy them for push ups etc, just had a quick look - seem to be about £180 for some....yeah might wait til my redundancy comes through before I buy them - just ordered a new bench for £100 so best be sensible this month now.

There seem to be cheaper versions on amazon but need to do some more research I think - don't fancy trying to save a few quid if they are a poor alternative.

you can pick up fakes that are all branded/marked as TRX, to be honest its probably what i've ended up buying as i only paid £75! But as long as they are well made fakes, i don't care. The issue will be around the build quality, as you say you don't fancy them snapping on you!

Im only a little guy so im hoping they'll take my pathetic body weight otherwise they are REALLY badly made lol

The only place to buy genuine TRX is from their website as they will tell you themselves!

I also have cable based machines so i know what you mean about being able to replicate a lot of the moves. However because the TRX is so unstable, it does add a totally new dimension to it all (hard to describe, but my forearms and grip have been explaining this to me for four days since i used it haha)

Yeah the lack of stability will be a torture with them - thats what I quiet fancy, remember seeing someone like Tito using them on a training video a year or seven back and thought they looked brutal then, yeah defo gonna have to buy some - though knowing my luck will end up with the shittiest fakes ever and will plunge into a faceplant whilst doing suspended press ups...Might film my training til it happens - nice easy £250 from you've been mugged off you caaaaa'nt.

The TRX is a seriously under-utilised piece of kit imo, especially for martial artists. We have a set in our gym and literally nobody uses them.

I did think they were a bit of a gimmick until a few month ago when we were forced to do a training course on them. A few days later I did a full body workout on it and it was incredible. So many different excercises and progressions.

What do you attach them to? See videos of them being used but all seem to show close up how to do the exercises, not the actual equipment itself. If I was going to use them at home how do they attach to things and what could I use at home?
