Two very simple explanations designed to apply to basic boxing technique:
A hook is a punch thrown to connect with a hooked arm and designed to come in to the side of the head/body.
A cross is a punch thrown to connect with a straight arm and designed to come in to the front of the head/body.

I wouldnt say this was a cross. Hendo's is an pretty big overhand looping punch.
Nick Diaz is a great example of somebody who throws a crisp cross; a punch thrown with the rear hand which loops slightly round the lead hand of your opponent... generally used to counter somebody who has lazy recovery when they throw a jab. It's commonly mistaken for a right straight as it looks a lot similar.
