Default Qualifying for a pro license in England

    Hello ladies and gents.

One has to consider his future and if the whole debacle of amateur boxing really will produce fine fruits. Is my time amongst the amateur ranks of worth, or am I wasting my time in pugilism? I am 30 years of youthful grace and shall be participating in a royal amateur bloodbath February onwards. Once my time is passed and my experience gained, what kind of wall is one up against to gain a license? Does one have to speculate to accumulate; or in laymans terms - pay something before getting the license?
I have a criminal record from my Bar Mitzvah era; will that be a trump card against me?
I don't possess AIDS or wotnot, so that would be a perk I'm sure.
