I don't train but have heard of a few lads playing football on tramadol and have got on ok, personally I think they make you feel very drowsy and I for one wouldn't be up for doing any form of training when taking them.
personally i wouldnt take tramadol before training. was on it when got stabbed and when fell off te barn and everytime i've had it have been off my tits. another pain killer should be ok but not one quite as strong as tramadol

'I really loved the fighting, and the extreme cage they use. Its just so extreme and awesome. '
Over the summer i had an operation to remove a major lapsed disk in my neck. I was on Tramadol or codene for the first 6 months of the year and still managed to train often, only thing that stopped me was the injury.
I took codene but after a while i didn notice the effects from taking it, so went back to the doctor and got an upgrade to Tramadol.
At first you may not be able to do much taking it, but as time goes on you just get on with things, just in a doped up way.
I managed to win a BJJ tourney and pass my uni exams doped on Tramadol.
Tramadol is fun, everything just goes into a haze.
No dizzyness, but the amount i was taking i dont remember too much. coiming off it, i was a mess for 2 days.
