i've got a couple of old telly's you could choose from if you want a super-cheap option. they aren't fancy.
'I really loved the fighting, and the extreme cage they use. Its just so extreme and awesome. '
My bro' has just bought a £2k Samsung LED, it is fucking amazing,

I just bought a 51" samsung 3d plasma for £700, bargain.
Plays any file you throw at it through an external drive too so ya dont even need a blu-ray player.
I recently bought a Samsung UE 46D7000 - 46" 3D LED - fuckin Awsome! I got it from Richer Sounds who will price match anybody - even online offers. I eventually paid the same price as the best online offer but got a 5 year guarantee, 4 pairs of 3D glasses and a 3D bluray player with mega mind 3D blueray. Really good company in my opinion.

Sony use the panels from Samsung and the Sony is dearer for the same spec, so stick with Samsung.
LCD and led will always give the best colours, black on a plasma shows up as a dark grey, but the fluidity of movement on a plasma is better. This shows more when watchin fast moving program's or sports (football etc)
If you get a led which is at least 100 hz then that will help with the fluidity.
So basically, Samsung led 100 hz tv is most likely the best option.
I've just bought a Samsung UE55D6530 LED TV, absolutely amazing picture. I got it from John Lewis who also price match, ended up getting it for £1400 with a free 5 year guarantee you can rely on as their customer service is top notch in my experience.
Samsung and Sony share the same panels as BazzaBoldBB says, they're cheaper and look better so it's a no brainer IMO
