The EDL are the equivilant of the village idiot who's learned the basics of a sound argument and proceeds to run around drunkenly screaming it at anyone who'll listen. That said, their core arguement is sound-extremist Islam taken at face value poses a threat to the basic tenants of Western culture, namely freedom of speech, secularism and liberal democracy. How they present that arguement is a different matter-its not that hard to sit back and listen to the likes of Richard Dawkins or Christopher Hitchens put forward a reasoned case as to why its true, the same cannot be said of Tommy Robinson (or whatever he calls himself)
EDL are muppet-led, and have muppets as followers.
I hate all extremists regardless of , nationality, colour, race, sex, age... White supremacists are just as bad as Muslim extremists.
Why don't people just wake up, go to work, come home, socialise, have fun, spend time with family and fiends, etc, etc, and forget about what everyone else is doing.
There are Laws of the Land - everyone should accept them and live by them because after all, we live in a democracy, vote these people in, and believe it or not, they actually want the best for the Country as a whole, not just the particular socio-economics of an area . If you don't like it then move to another Country.
I think that makes sense.
