Everyone can make it to an academy, some people just make excuses. Lots of the guys who were the first to start bjj in the UK used to travel to America just to train jiu-jitsu! No need for Gracie garages in the UK and online grading is absolute shit.

Agreed, it makes a mockery of everyone who trains under a real instructor and has been graded accordingly.

Online gradings is an absolute joke. Get to an academy and get smeared across the mats like the rest of us, your belt means nothing if you got it online.

I got my belt off e-bay for £3.99.

With regards the seminar if it were closer I would pay £45 to attend a 3 hour session run by Ralek.

I'd rather be a white belt forever than grade online.

I agree almost everyone can train at an academy, I manage with working all over the country/family etc! Maybe if the guy lives out in the sticks it is more difficult?

We have plenty of guys who travel an hour plus each way weekly to train. Now a load of them have blue belts and one has a purple they have their own club... and still travel to train at our main academy. Anyone can do it if they want to.

Checked out the site, the guy lives in Central Scotland so don't know the story??? I suppose even if you live to far away from a legit club you could still travel once per week, fortnight or even once per month combined with training with your mates. Would be better than this garage set up I would think?
