Crosstraining mma, muay thai and boxing is quite normal for bjj guys. So I was curious which academies actually have a cage or a ring to help their students crosstrain these arts. How much difference does it make?

Yes we have both in our gym and it helps mega, when you are in an enclosed environment you use the surroundings on a mat it stops to go back to the middle, so they guys have to work for something and no place to hide brings out more skills
anyone training in a gym without a cage is at a disadvantage
Joey Essex is my hero, he's Reem.

Our gym has a half cage wall at one end. Helps the mma guys but is irrelevant for bjj.
We have had in our gyms in the past a cage and a ring, now we use a room with a padded floor and walls this is perfect for training mma takedowns and wall technique ect.
