do they say "pad your records" or do they say "improve your records"? telling you get some wins doesnt mean they're telling you to fight a bunch of bums. maybe people are hearing what they want to hear. im fairly sure if you got the wins over legit competition they wouldnt turn you down and say you were too good would they? just because you CAN pad your record, doesnt mean you should

not that i agree with people getting quick pay days, but it does add colour.

    example taken to the exteme
    two fighters

    fighter A (10-0-0)
    fighter B (0-5-0)

If fighter A and B fight, the shame is on "fighter" A, hes looking for quick wins, not exactly the fighting spirit.
But fighter B, maybe he just lost his job needs some cash to buy is daughter a b day present, willing to take on a monster to do so. my respect is with him might not look bad ass in the cage but in life, hes more of a bad ass that the guy taking easy fights for the clean record.

i dunno fuck the pussys who take easy fights and don't take the risks, albeit some are last minute replacements but still.

its in the fighters hands man! ive fought guys that want paydays, but when ive had a last minute pullouts ive also turns them down and not bothered fighting.
Well said Scraps.......your my hero lol

My record is shocking, I will fight anyone at any weight at any notice. Not to everyones liking but thats just how it is. I dont train like a pro but I do what I can when I can. Everyone has different reasons for fighting and have different reasons for doing what they do.

I always show up to fight and have helped many promoters last minute for many reasons be it people pulling out last minute or promoters struggling to find other 'Professional Fighters' who dont have the bottle to fight certain people! That is the problem. People padding records and avoiding people!

As a fighter you should be prepared to fight whoever is put in front of you. In my eyes the sport needs people like us.

There's a big difference between a good fighter padding his record after some tough losses to top opposition (ie Vaughn Lee) and someone building up a 10-0 record fighting fucktards.

There's good padding and bad padding :-)

Name and Shame is the name of the game!

Like it has been said, a certain padding is acceptable due to inexperience etc but padding when you are sitting at 6,7,8,9-0 is not very good

No padding is acceptable in opinion. Padding is padding at the end of the day!

Does anyone know what the records were of the fighters at UCMMA 27 this weekend? i.e each matchup by matchup, some shady ones. Does Dave do the matching or is it Harry Shoebridge?

i'm shit don't know how i've been doing it for the past 10 years ??

just like Duffy vs Grove ?? grow up its MMA not ping pong

in fact i bet most on here have only been into MMA THE LAST FEW YEARS

Just a shame that a forum only gets hits on bad press , cage warriors gets espn deal no gives a fuck ucmma n cage warriors go's out on the biggest sports channel again no 1 cares . a fights gets stopped early or late or a game of ball happens in a cage n every
troll comes out of the woodwork .
i think its time to leave this forum as you only talk about bad things witch is not good for the sport so i must say jog on im out of here .

not the best matched fights in recent times though and thats my opinion.

It's great that Cage Warriors and UCMMA can showcase their shows on a large platform but that doesnt mean that UCMMA have well matched fights. Personally I think that Cage warriors have better matched fights and they dont rely on the fighters to sell tickets (hence why they are doing so many events around the world). Not a dig at UCMMA as I am aware that you need to deal with the business end aswell.
