Thread: New TUF format

  1. #1

    Default New TUF format

It's been a few weeks and I still don't like it. Does anyone prefer the new Fox version of TUF?

Compared to the old style it feels like there is way too many breaks for bland commentary which detracts from the entertaining 'reality TV' aspect that the previous ones had.

Although Fox and the UFC is good for the sport I wonder if it will lead to a less enjoyable viewing experience.

Not keen on it. The new intro, where the fighters are all smiling and goofing around is horse shit; absolutely stinks of MTV/ Fox style influence and the ad breaks are fucking retarded. Made a 1 hour debut show last for 2 hours; an ad break after every round/ fight. When fights ended early, you could get 2 ad breaks separated by 30 seconds of show.

If this is what they've done to TUF I worry UFC evens will also take a dip into a more US style of ads and po-faced commentary. Never have we needed Joe Rogan more...

No sir, I don't like it.

I'd like it even less if I watched it with ads. ¬_¬

hate the new style, hate all the fox presentations to date. over commercial typically american corporised tripe. the commentating and presentation is over the top. used to think the ufc was produced and presented really well, now im watching it on mute. guess it was always going to happen once it got more mainstream.

I tell you what we dont see enough of - STATS. More stats the better to help our degenerate gambling addicted junkie cousins over the pond. You cant beat loads of pointless stats coving the screen and shoved down our throats.

1 good change so far though is no deliberately pouring alcohol into the house to make them smash it up for the cameras.
At least they seem to be presenting it as a serious training environment this time... although not half way through the series yet! all could change still...!

Do you think they deliberately put someone into the house who they know will moan and complain about training (Tickle) just to show its tougher than it looks on TV?

Being live doesn't even make me interested in TUF.

The only thing that could even MAYBE get me to watch another season of TUF would be to do a women's edition.
