Jake Hecht or Matt Brown would be a good next test for John. Would be great to see him defeat a significant American wrestler with good UFC experience to edge him closer to the top.

I think it's fair enough to like your donuts while fighting on uk shows, but once you make it to the big show you owe it to yourself, family and team to give yourself the best chance possible to reach your full potential.
Maguire will drop to 70 at some point, it might take a loss or two in the UFC but imo that's the only way he will reach his full potential, there is no way he will out wrestle the top guys at ww
