The last thing Kieran needs is to be fighting a high level guy like Stevie dropping down from welter.

Sure Stevie's coaches will consider a catch weight fight at 73kg before the full drop to 70kg for Stevie. We done the same thing with Martin Delaney who fought pro at 77 then 75 then 73 before settling at 70kg.

The drop to LW makes a lot of sense, it wasnt that long ago Stevie was weighing in on the day at under 77 for semi pro fights and performing well.

Kieran will be training all over the world for the next year or so, training camps lined up in the likes of Sweden, Brazil, japan and the US - so he won't be fighting at all.

Looking at his record against age, he's one of the most experienced fighters in the UK, and his game all round is top notch- anyone who has actually watched his fights know his record doesn't reflect his performances and circumstances in the fights - regardless that is MMA.

So in response to this - we are taking around a year to tweak all aspects of his game, at which age he'l be 21- scary thought - and he'l be back and taking over the divison, im sure of that.
