Muscle Dysmorphia in MMA fighters
Classed as an eating disorder and perhaps more prominant in the bodybuilding community. Not much in the way of research into MMA fighters and MD.
Do we think this is a problem within the MMA community? Or are the motivations behind similar behaviours in fighters qualitatively different from those who suffer with the illness? If so, does this render behaviour and attitudes of MMA fighters unproblematic? Finally, does anybody know of any fighters who have been diagnosed?
